Our Home - Great Room

The T-shaped great room occupies the center of the house extending from the master bedroom to the isolation room. The south walls are shades of green; the north walls are shades of terra cotta. The short hallway from the isolation room leads to the office on the north and the cats' room on the south. |

Green skywalks zig-zag down the short hallway and above them is the sky tunnel that connects the isolation room with the office. Made of aluminum ductwork, the skytunnel has a Plexiglas door cut into it so the cats can sit in the tunnel and enjoy the view. Velcro fasteners make the door easy to open and close which facilitates cleaning. |

Skywalks throughout the great room allow aerial cats to walk throughout the house without touching the floor. |

Lots of cat furniture and a dog bed (that's Annie hiding under the dog bed) decorate the great room affording lots of napping, hiding, and playing opportunities for the furries. |

The cat jungle gym is a one of a kind effort that I still have nightmares about. I'd like to say it was worth the effort because the cats do enjoy it so, but I'm still not sure it was worth all the money, time, and labor. |

The cat steps leading to the mouse-hole going into the master bedroom were something I ordered years ago from a magazine. Krista can't decide if she wants to climb the cats' stairway that leads to the master bedroom or jump onto the cat bench |
