Staggered shelves lead from the mouse-hole down to the bed.

Stenciled cat steps lead up to the bed for the older cats who can't jump as easily as they once could.

Master Bedroom
Several raised dog beds on the floor prove tempting to the cats who frequently appropriate them! The dogs have learned to share! Two cat doors are cut into thick Lexan that was sealed into the window frames . The doors lead to Lexan tunnels into the cat enclosure.

A stenciled wooden box holds one of the many litter boxes.

Master Bedroom Cat Enclosure
This enclosure (on right side of house) was the cats very first enclosure purchased years ago from http://www.cdpets.com/enclosure.html. After moving the enclosure from Houston to Utah, it was enlarged, hardware cloth has replaced the initial wiring and a plastic corrugated roof was installed. Initially we used pea-gravel for the floor but we soon realized that the cats thought pea-gravel was 'pee' gravel. It got very nasty. Consequently, we had concrete poured

This enclosure has a tree, a table, and, of course, staggered shelves.

Master Bedroom
The Lexan tunnels leading from the house were built for our Houston home because there the enclosure did not abut the house. We don't need the tunnels anymore, but the cats really like them to lounge in.

Jennie uses a tree trunk to descend to the floor of the enclosure. Large storage bins are used for litter boxes in the enclosures.

Michael Patrick (watched by Amy-dog) snoozes on top of the cedar house.

Larry poses on one of the shelves. The cats rotate from enclosure to enclosure all day and night.
